Firefighters and Area First Responders to be Honored by Hornblower with Free Cruise Offer in San Diego Through Month of September
Since 2001 Hornblower Continues to Honor The Teams that Keep Us Safe!
San Diego, Aug. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hornblower is extending their annual 9/11 weekend offer of a free cruise to firefighters and area first responders for the entire month of September. Hornblower Cruises in San Diego is inviting San Diego County first responders for a complimentary free admission aboard any of Hornblower Cruises one or two hour Harbor Cruise on San Diego Bay. First responders include firefighters, police officers, harbor police and USCG, sheriff department officers and EMT’s involved in ongoing efforts to keep San Diego safe in difficult times.
Hornblower Cruises announced the free ticket as a salute to local heroes. By showing their current identification or a badge at the Hornblower Cruises & Events ticket booth located at Pier 2, 970 North Harbor Drive in San Diego, heroes will receive a free ticket for any one or two hour narrated cruise of the waterway. The San Diego Harbor Cruises feature beautiful San Diego sights such as Star of India, modern U.S. Naval vessels and submarines, military ships, sea lions and the Coronado Bay Bridge.
There are six daily Harbor Cruises daily aboard Hornblower starting at 10:00 a.m. The one-hour tour tickets are regularly priced at $27.00 per adult, and half price for children ages 4-12 years. The two-hour tour is $32.00 per adult, and $16.00 for children ages 4-12 years. Children under 4 years old are always free! Hot food, snacks, salads and sandwiches and adult beverages are for sale on board during daily harbor cruises in a spacious snackbar.
“Since 2001, we put aside the month of September to salute the hard work and courage of the men and women who have dedicated long hours under dangerous conditions to protect the people of San Diego”, said Rebecca Milkey, Director of Marketing for Hornblower Cruises & Events.
“2018 has been unprecedented with the wild fires in Calfornia, and yet fire season is usually in October,” Milkey commented.
